Designing a Home in Harmony with the Mountains

The main wall in the living space is adorned with nature stone, creating a clear and colorful connection to the view of Alishan mountain. The dining area features a customized wood table that incorporates a significant amount of stones, embodying a natural and harmonious living attitude. By carefully furnishing the design, the outdoor environment becomes a focal point, offering a relaxed atmosphere even in the corners of the house.

The use of glass materials effectively separates the living and sleeping areas, extending the visual space while maintaining privacy. The neutral tonality of the design ensures a peaceful sleeping environment. The cabinets in this design not only provide storage but also exhibit collectibles, showcasing the owner's unique taste. Additionally, a dedicated collection room offers both storage and display options.

The project, located in Chiayi City, began in May 2015 and was completed in June 2016. The construction phase lasted from June 2016 to December 2018. Throughout the design process, careful consideration was given to earthquake resistance, resulting in a structure capable of withstanding a level 8 earthquake. The extensive use of Low-e glass enhances the appearance of the house while contributing to environmental protection.

The Mountain was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category in 2020. This prestigious accolade recognizes designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity and ingenuity, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology. The design not only showcases strong technical and creative skills but also contributes to improving the quality of life, making the world a better place.
